How It Works

L-Carnitine is an amino acid derivative that serves as the primary shuttle for long-chain fatty acids across the inner mitochondrial membrane. Without adequate carnitine, fatty acids cannot enter the mitochondria for beta-oxidation — the process that converts stored fat into usable energy (ATP). It also supports removal of toxic metabolic byproducts from the mitochondria.
