Product detail
What it is
Collagen peptides are not a complete protein and should not be counted as one — they are short of tryptophan and low in leucine, which is why they sit in Recovery rather than Protein. What they are useful for is connective tissue: the research that exists is mostly around tendon, ligament and skin, often paired with vitamin C and timed before loading. Ours is grass-fed bovine, hydrolysed to peptides small enough to disappear into hot coffee, and completely unflavored so it can. Twenty grams, once a day.
The short version
- 20 g hydrolyzed collagen peptides per serving, types I and III
- Bovine, grass-fed and pasture-raised
- Dissolves clear in hot or cold liquid without clumping
- Often taken with vitamin C, an hour before loading the joint in question
- No flavor, no sweetener, no anti-caking agent
How to use
Two scoops in coffee, tea, or water, once daily. If you are taking it for tendon work, take it with vitamin C about an hour before that session.
Ingredients
Hydrolyzed bovine collagen peptides (types I & III).
